Yes, I upgraded mine to the 40GB max with no problems. As mentioned you want a single rank. 32gb is crucial in the extra slot plus the 8 GB soldered on the board in mine.

Can the Graphics card be changed?

Answer:

Yes, however, any form of modification could void the warranty. We would recommend a certified technician perform this procedure.

Is the body made of plastic or metal?

Answer:

I believe it is military grade plastic. This makes it lighter and if dropped it is not suppose to break. Very strong and sturdy.
